Police have arrested a man in his 70’s following an attempted abduction of a woman in East Vancouver.
The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon near Wall Street and Powell.
Constable Tania Visintin says police are still figuring out what happened, and very few details about the incident and those involved are not being released.
“It’s still in the very, very early stages,” Visintin told NEWS 1130.
She added the 70-year-old male suspect was arrested, and the female victim is safe and has spoken to police.
Officers taped off the area in the afternoon and it accessible for drivers.
