Kelowna RCMP is still looking for Ketan Sharma, who is believed to be in the Fort St. John area due to the recent evacuation of Fort Nelson.
The detachment put out a call to the public asking for assistance locating Sharma on April 4th, saying he was last seen in Fort Nelson.
Sharma reportedly told his friend he was visiting a family member in Surrey, however, officers say they’ve found information indicating he was in Fort Nelson on March 1st and 2nd.
“Mr. Sharma is not believed to have a vehicle or any known associates in the northern part of British Columbia and may possibly be seeking labour work,” said the RCMP in the release on April 4th.
According to police, this behaviour is unusual for Sharma, and his friends and family are worried.
Sharma is described as standing five feet ten inches tall and weighing 145 pounds. Police also say he’s balding, with a dark beard and glasses.
Anyone with information on Sharma’s whereabouts is asked to contact Kelowna RCMP’s missing person coordinator at 250-859-3984 and reference file 24-12655.
