Investigation into Madison Roy-Boudreau’s disappearance continues

The RCMP and Bathurst Police Force are continuing their investigation into the disappearance of Madison Roy-Boudreau of Bathurst, N.B, who was 14 at the time of her disappearance.

Madison Roy-Boudreau was last seen getting into a grey Ford Ranger, at approximately 7:30 a.m., on May 11, 2021 in Bathurst. She was reported missing to the Bathurst Police Force the same day.

In the days and weeks that followed, exhaustive investigative efforts were made to locate Madison, including the use of several RCMP specialized policing services. On August 11, 2021, Madison’s disappearance was ruled a homicide by the investigation team. The RCMP has since assumed lead of the file, based on information obtained through the course of the investigation.

“We’re not able to share specific information to protect the ongoing investigation, but we have reason to believe Madison was in the Middle River area after she was last seen in Bathurst on May 11 last year. This would place her in RCMP jurisdiction,” says Cpl. Hans Ouellette of the New Brunswick RCMP. “We continue to work with the Bathurst Police Force to find Madison and bring answers to her family, and her community. Anyone with information that could help our investigation should contact their local police, or Crime Stoppers.”

RCMP specialized police services may be in the area in the coming weeks as part of the ongoing investigation.

Madison Roy-Boudreau is described as being five feet four inches (163 centimetres) tall and weighing 119 pounds (54 kilograms). She has brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a gray sweater, a pair of camouflage-colored pants and a pair of silver-colored shoes.

The New Brunswick RCMP is urging anyone with information about the disappearance of Madison Roy-Boudreau contact police at 1-888-506-RCMP(7267). Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca.
