The Instagram account known as Iammadeleinemccann has been deleted after gaining over one million followers.
A Polish girl named Julia Faustyna, aged 21, amassed over one million followers on Instagram recently after sharing “evidence” suggesting she was Madeleine McCann, the girl who went missing while on holiday in 2007.
Amongst other things, Julia claimed she shared similar physical traits to Madeleine McCann such as a matching speck in her eye. Julia also said she can’t remember large parts of her childhood and alleged she was abused by a German paedophile who looked like an old suspect in Madeleine’s disappearance.
These details and photos showing her resemblance with Madeleine were shared to the @Iammadeleinemccann Instagram account however when you now try to access the account it no longer exists.
As of this morning all links to Julia’s Instagram account display this message: “Sorry, this page isn’t available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.”
Although many people have suggested Julia deleted the account herself as she did with her Facebook and TikTok, the possibility still stands that Instagram may have removed it. Last week the girl claiming to be Madeleine McCann deleted Facebook and Twitter accounts so people couldn’t “make fun” of her anymore. She wrote on Instagram: “If you don’t like me, please unfollow. I don’t want fans or followers. I closed my Facebook account and TikTok so people can’t make fun of me.”
Julia is currently in a town near the Germany-Poland border and is being visited by a private investigator and self-professed medium Doctor Dia Johansson.
Polish police have “ruled out” that Julia could be Madeleine, and Julia’s parents have accused her of “setting up a circus” and later said they believe all this is because Julia “has always wanted to be popular”.
But as of right now the Iammadeleinemccann Instagram account no longer exists.
