The Dawson Creek RCMP has now confirmed that the human remains found along the Kiskatinaw River have been positively identified as Renee Didier.

The BC Coroners Service conducted an autopsy of the remains. The Coroner and police are not commenting how Didier may have been killed.

The remains were discovered on May 18 west of Highway 97, by an industrial worker who was testing river water.

Didier went missing in on December 2nd. Footage taken from a security camera showed Didier at a gas station in the early morning hours of December 3rd.

The images of Didier, who sometimes goes by the last name Supernant, were the last time she was seen before going missing.

The 40 year old Didier is one of four people to have gone missing from Dawson Creek in the last 15 months. Police are still searching for Darylyn Supernant, Cole Hosack and Dave Domingo.

BC RCMP North District Major Crime Unit has assumed conduct of the investigation and are asking the public for any information that may help further the investigation.

If you have any information on this matter, you are asked to call the Dawson Creek RCMP at (250) 784-3700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
