Our community is in mourning for 11 year old Riya who was found deceased on February 14th in Brampton. This tragic incident has affected many across Peel Region and the province. Neighbourhood Watch Brampton set a modest goal of raising at least $2,500 and we have reached that goal in a few hours. We will continue to accept donations at the suggestion of the many concerned residents, especially as funeral costs will be higher.
Please note that the family of Riya has not participated in this community effort. We are giving them space, and waiting for more information as the Police Investigation is ongoing.
