As the search for four-year-old Sweetgrass Kennedy continues into its second week, Prince Albert police say four boats of emergency rescue search team were deployed on Tuesday to aid in search efforts.
The boats were deployed strategically along the North Saskatchewan River and they’re carrying teams made up of Prince Albert Police Service, the Prince Albert Grand Council and the Saskatchewan First Nation Emergency Management.
Prince Albert Fire Department and RCMP are also involved in the search.
Sweetgrass Kennedy was last seen on May 10 around 3 p.m. in the 900 block of Second Street East in Prince Albert, wearing a light blue Star Wars bunny hug and orange Halloween pyjama pants.
Police had previously asked businesses in the area to check their video footage and search efforts have now shifted to the river.
