The Toronto Sun is reporting that a source told them that emergency wire-taps obtained by Toronto Police enabled officers to rescue kidnap victim Shammah Jolayemi.
“Those wiretaps tracing communications between the kidnappers and the family helped officers pinpoint the victim’s location,” the source told the Sun.
The family of the victim’s stepbrother, Olalekan Osikoya, was warned that “their lives were in jeopardy” after he pilfered 92 kilos of cocaine, worth an estimated $4 million to $5 million last summer, the source said.
