Emergency crews are searching for a man in the waters of Lake Erie today.
Police say the search is being concentrated around the main pier in Port Stanley.
The man was last seen in the water about 30 metres east of the lighthouse on the pier around 5:45pm on Friday.
Emergency crews searched through the evening until about 11pm, with negative results. Crews have continued their search this morning.
The man has not been identified, but is being described as being white, in his 30s and roughly 6′ – 6’2″ tall. He has brown curly hair with light facial hair.
Police located articles of clothing on the pier, including a maroon hoodie, camouflage pants, red socks with rubber grippers on the bottom and brown shoes (laces had been removed).
Anyone with information regarding this incident or the identity of the man is asked to contact Elgin County OPP.
