🚨 Cold Case – Missing Woman in St. John’s, Newfoundland – Jessica Heppner, 21 – Last Seen May 28, 2015
Jessica Heppner, 21, from Ontario, disappeared under mysterious circumstances in St. John’s, Newfoundland, in May 2015. Despite multiple leads — including transactions in Germany and Ontario cell activity — her disappearance remains unsolved.
On Monday, May 25, 2015, Jessica arrived in St. John’s with travel companion Norbert Kasza and checked into the Sheraton Hotel downtown. The hotel was first booked for one night, but Jessica extended her stay. She vanished on Thursday, May 28, 2015, without collecting her belongings. Police later found two suitcases, her laptop, and her ID left in her room. There is no record of her boarding a flight out of Newfoundland.
Jessica was last seen taking a taxi to Topsail Road in Paradise. Witnesses confirmed seeing her there. The man she visited was interviewed and cleared as a suspect. She reportedly planned to return to the hotel by taxi but never arrived.

Jessica traveled often across Canada and abroad. Her prepaid credit cards were later used in Germany, and one of her cell phones — registered under a false name — was detected in Ontario weeks after she vanished. Her family believes she would never disappear by choice, as she always stayed in touch.
Her case was featured in the CBC series Last Seen, which highlighted police interest in questioning Norbert Kasza further. In 2018, Jessica’s mother returned to St. John’s to raise awareness, distribute posters, and appeal for new leads.
