🚨 Missing Woman in Borden, Prince Edward Island – Elora Patoine, 30 – Last Seen June 19, 2023
The RCMP in Prince Edward Island continue to seek the public’s assistance in the cold case disappearance of Elora Patoine, who has been missing since June 19, 2023. Despite initial search efforts and ongoing investigations, Elora’s whereabouts remain unknown more than two years later.
Elora was last seen on June 17, 2023, when she was dropped off in Borden, the P.E.I. community located at the base of the Confederation Bridge. From there, she traveled to Moncton, New Brunswick, where she remained until June 19. That was the last confirmed sighting of her. She has not been heard from since.
RCMP Cpl. Gavin Moore confirmed at the time that the case was treated as a high-priority file. Investigators reached out to known contacts, examined surveillance footage, and conducted interviews. The Prince District RCMP and the RCMP Major Crime Unit have remained involved in the case as it transitioned from an active search to an unsolved missing person file.
Elora’s disappearance has had a profound impact on her loved ones. Friends and family describe her as bilingual, speaking both French and English, and with strong ties to both Prince Edward Island and Quebec. Her last known address was in western P.E.I. According to police, her case remains open, and they continue to appeal for any information that could help bring answers.
