🚨 Cold Case: Cynthia Parisian Missing from Winnipeg Since February 17 2019
The Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit continues to seek the public’s assistance in locating Cynthia Anne Parisian, who vanished on Sunday, February 17, 2019. Cynthia, 38 at the time, was last seen leaving the Home Depot at 845 Leila Avenue around 4:30 p.m. She appeared on store video wearing a pink toque, dark clothing, and carrying a pink backpack. She left visibly upset, used a payphone outside, and walked into the parking lot toward a half-ton truck that stopped near a snow hill. The grainy footage is the last confirmed sighting of Cynthia.
Cynthia was a devoted mother of 11 children (one has since passed). She missed two major milestones: the birth of her grandson, which she had eagerly awaited, and her daughter’s college graduation. Known for her huge heart, Cynthia often took in people experiencing homelessness, providing food and shelter despite her own struggles. Her mother, Darlene, worried for her safety but understood her compassion. Cynthia battled addictions and had been staying with family and friends after her residence was destroyed in a fire. She pawned her phone, tablet, and other electronics at pawn shops on Main Street shortly before disappearing — a sign of her desperate situation.
Despite years of investigation, extensive searches, and numerous tips followed, no trace of Cynthia has ever been found. The case remains open and active. Police are concerned for her safety and continue to seek information.
