At 10:30 p.m., police received a report that an armed male had broken into a residence and possibly taken two children. Officers responded immediately.

According to reports, an adult female was at home with five children and three other adults when a male known to her forced entry into the home and began threatening everyone inside with a homemade weapon.

The four adults and three of the children (all under 12) were able to escape. Two very young children could not be safely removed and remained inside the home with the suspect.

Officers entered the residence and located a one-year-old infant sleeping safely. However, both the armed male and a two-year-old child were missing from the scene.
