🚨 Missing Children in Lansdowne Station, Nova Scotia – Lilly and Jack Sullivan – Last Seen May 2, 2025
RCMP say the latest searches for missing Nova Scotia siblings Lilly and Jack Sullivan did not uncover any new evidence. The two young children vanished more than five months ago from their rural home in Lansdowne Station, Pictou County.
Cadaver dogs trained to detect human remains were deployed to search a 40-kilometre area around the property, including the family’s home, a nearby pipeline, intersecting trails, and a location where a pink blanket believed to belong to Lilly was previously found. Despite extensive efforts, no remains were detected.
“The dogs are highly trained to detect and indicate the scent of human remains,” said Staff Sgt. Stephen Pike. “If the dogs did not alert their handlers, it suggests they were never in the presence of that odour. However, this doesn’t definitively rule out the presence of remains.”
The siblings, aged six and four, were reported missing on May 2 after apparently wandering away from their home. RCMP say the search efforts have included hundreds of volunteers, specialized canine units from Alberta and British Columbia, and forensic teams from across the country.
Investigators with the Northeast Nova Major Crime Unit continue to follow up on more than 860 tips and 8,060 video files, supported by police partners nationwide. “We’ll keep going until we determine, with certainty, the circumstances of the children’s disappearance and they’re found,” said Staff Sgt. Rob McCamon.
