It’s been almost a full year since their little boy disappeared but Dylan Ehler’s parents say they are never going to stop searching for their son.

“It feels like the first day still,” said his mother, Ashley Brown. “We’re no farther ahead. Doesn’t feel like it’s still really sunk in.”

On May 6, people are invited to launch paper boats at 12:30 p.m. into Lepper Brook, at the end of Elizabeth Street, to remember Dylan’s disappearance on that date last year.

Three-year-old Dylan was playing outside his grandmother’s house on Elizabeth Street when he disappeared. His boots were found, 150 metres apart, in the nearby Lepper Brook that leads to the Salmon River, which was a rushing torrent at the time. Brown and Dylan’s father, Jason Ehler, say they believe the boots were tossed in by someone. Truro Police have said on numerous occasions that foul play is not suspected.
