🚨 MISSING MAN IN VINEY LAKE, SASKATCHEWAN – ERNEST BALLANTYNE, 42 – LAST SEEN SEPTEMBER 5, 2026
On September 6, 2026, Deschambault Lake RCMP received a report of a missing 42-year-old man, Ernest Ballantyne. He was last seen at approximately 3:00 p.m. on September 5 at a camp on Viney Lake. Ernest is 5’6” with a medium build, brown eyes and brown hair, and is missing some teeth. He lives with a cognitive disability and may seem younger than his age. He is known to travel to Norway House, Manitoba, Winnipeg, Creighton/Flin Flon, Prince Albert and Saskatoon, sometimes relying on rides from passing vehicles. Saskatchewan RCMP’s Remotely Piloted Aircraft System and Search and Rescue, Prince Albert Grand Council Search and Rescue, SARSAV, CASARA, the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency and community members are among those assisting in the ongoing search in the Viney Lake area. Deschambault Lake RCMP are now asking members of the public to report information on his whereabouts.
