The Prince Albert Police Service has confirmed the identity of the deceased individual located during a search as 14-year-old Peyton Flett, who was previously reported missing.
An autopsy was conducted today, August 18, 2026, and confirmed the identity of the deceased as Peyton Flett.
The Prince Albert Police Service Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate to establish the circumstances surrounding Peyton’s death.
Peyton was reported missing on June 30, 2026. Police located a deceased individual on Aug 13, 2026, in the 300 block of 40th street East during a search conducted as part of the investigation into Peyton’s disappearance.
The Prince Albert Police Service extends its condolences to Peyton’s family, friends, and all those affected by her death. The family has been notified of the autopsy findings.
This remains an active investigation.
