🚨 Nova Scotia RCMP Dispute Witness Accounts in Missing Children Case
The Nova Scotia RCMP say they have found no evidence to support witness accounts describing a vehicle seen or heard near the home where six-year-old Lilly Sullivan and four-year-old Jack Sullivan went missing in early May.
According to RCMP spokesperson Cindy Bayers, investigators carried out an extensive review of surveillance footage gathered from the Lansdowne Station area in northeastern Nova Scotia, where the two children were reported missing on May 2. The analysis, she said, revealed no signs of vehicle activity in the early morning hours of that day.
“Investigators have thoroughly examined video evidence from the area and found nothing to support witness statements about a vehicle driving back and forth near the home,” Bayers said. “No vehicle or driver has been identified.”
đź“Ť Witness Reports Under Review
Police previously released new information about the case, which included accounts from witnesses who claimed to have heard a vehicle travelling repeatedly near the children’s residence in the hours before their disappearance. However, Bayers clarified that none of those witnesses visually confirmed seeing the vehicle and that the reported sounds have not been verified as significant to the ongoing investigation.
“The accounts involved individuals who reported hearing a vehicle but did not see it,” Bayers said. “At this stage, those claims have not been substantiated.”

One witness told police he heard a loud vehicle coming and going from the family’s home on Gairloch Road in the early morning hours of May 2. Another witness said he also heard a loud vehicle around the same time and believed it belonged to the children’s stepfather. RCMP now say that despite reviewing all available evidence, no supporting proof has been found for those claims.
The RCMP continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Lilly and Jack Sullivan, who remain missing.
