A search is on for an Oshawa woman suffering from mental illness who has been missing since January 8.
Katie, 31, is known to frequent Oshawa and Toronto and police say there are concerns for her wellbeing. Her mother Maggie put out an urgent call for help on social media, saying Katie suffers from “profound” mental illnesses.
“She’s been missing a few weeks and no one has heard from her,” Maggie Callis said. “I am begging you all, if you see her, please call Durham Police at (905) 579-1520 or myself at (289) 675-7474.”
“She is very, very sick and we need to find her.”
Katie Callis is described as white, 5’8” with a medium build and blonde/brown hair.
