UPDATE:
Niagara police say human remains found near Hamilton Harbour in December belong to a man from St. Catharines that was missing for over three years.
Hamilton police say they found human remains near Hamilton Harbour Dec. 5, and submitted DNA samples to the RCMP National Data Bank for analysis.
Niagara detectives say the DNA test results identified the remains to belong to 29-year-old Nicholas Adamson.
Adamson was last seen in the morning of March 17, 2022, near The Moose & Goose bar at 54 Paul De Divitiis Sr. Way in Thorold.
Officers say the missing person investigation into Adamson’s whereabouts is now closed with no foul play suspected.
Hamilton police have also closed the investigation into the human remains suspecting no foul play.

The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) is currently conducting a missing person investigation in the City of Thorold.
1 District NRPS officers are searching for Nicholas ADAMSON (29 years of age). He was last seen in the early morning hours on Thursday March 17th, 2022, in the area of the Moose & Goose located at 54 Paul De Divitiis Sr Way, in the City of Thorold.
Nicholas is described as:
– Male
– White
– 5’10” tall
– 140 lbs
Last seen wearing:
– Blue jeans
– White shirt with collar
Both the police and Nicholas’s family are concerned for his welfare.
1 District (NRPS) detectives have exhausted all investigative avenues and are asking the public for assistance. Anyone who may have information as to his whereabouts are being asked to contact the NRPS Communications Unit at 905-688-4111.
