The RCMP’s major crime unit for New Brunswick is investigating after a missing woman was found dead in Maces Bay, N.B.
The Major Crime Unit found the woman’s body on Thursday with the help of police dog services, the same day they took over the investigation and found the woman’s car in Maces Bay, said a Friday news release.
The St. George RCMP received a report a 26-year-old woman from Musquash, N.B., was missing on Tuesday.
Police said they believe criminality was a factor in the woman’s death. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the exact cause.

The St. George RCMP is asking for the public’s help locating a missing 26-year-old woman from Musquash, N.B.
Sarah Teakles was last seen April 14, 2025, near musquash. She was reported missing to police the same day. Police have followed up on several leads to try and locate her but have so far been unsuccessful. Police and her family are concerned for her wellbeing.
Sarah Teakles is described as being approximately five feet four inches (162 centimetres) tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds (59 kilograms). She has blue eyes, and blond hair. She was last seen wearing a pink tank top and red sweatpants. Sarah may be travelling in a white 2017 Hyundai Elantra with New Brunswick licence plate JLA 612.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts, or who may have seen the vehicle she may be travelling in, is asked to contact the St. George RCMP at 506-755-1130.
