Mission RCMP are asking the public throughout the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley to be on the lookout for 44 year-old Michael Weeks. Michael left his home around noon on Tuesday November 22, and has various special needs including Down Syndrome. He does not typically go out on his own. He is about 5’6″ tall, and of medium build. No clothing description is available.
Michael likes to ride transit, and may have travelled to any city in the Lower Mainland or Fraser Valley area. In the past he has sought assistance at shelters, hospitals, and fast-food restaurants, where he may ask for free food. He does not have a cell phone or any money with him.
“Michael’s family is very concerned about him, and we want to get his photo out to as many people as possible, with the hopes that someone will recognize him,” says Constable Harrison Mohr with Mission RCMP. “We don’t believe that Michael is dressed for the cold, wet weather we’re having, and it’s important that we locate him as soon as possible.”
If you see Michael, call 911 and advise your local police. Anyone with information that may help to locate him should call the Mission RCMP non-emergency line, at 604-826-7161.
