A male who was the subject of a Missing Person investigation has been found, deceased. An investigation by the BC Coroners Service, the RCMP, and the Regina Police Service is underway. The deceased person has been identified as 31 year-old Brook BALYSKY.
On December 11, 2022, the Regina Police Service asked the public for information that could assist in locating Brook BALYSKY, who had not, at that point, been since December 5, 2022. Throughout the investigation, there was no evidence that BALYSKY had come to harm, but his extended absence and lack of contact with family was concerning.
On the evening of December 12, 2022, the Regina Police Service was notified by RCMP in Salmon Arm, BC that they had located the body of a deceased adult male. The identity of the male was later confirmed to be Brook BALYSKY. Notification to BALYSKY’s next-of-kin has been completed.
At this time, the death investigation is led by the BC Coroners Service with assistance from the Regina Police Service. We thank the public and the media for their attention to this matter.
The Regina Police Service is asking the public for their help in locating a 31 year-old male who was last seen on December 5th, 2022. Brook BALYSKY was last seen driving a grey 2007 GMC Acadia with Saskatchewan lisence plate: 077 MEJ.
BALYSKY is described as being approximately 5’11” with a thin build, fair complexion, short blonde hair and a short goatee. Brook BALYSKY also has a tattoo of an eagle on his right shoulder.
There is no evidence to suggest Brook BALYSKY has come to harm, however police need to locate him to confirm his safety.
