The 53-year-old man from Campbellton, N.B., reported missing on December 11, has been located deceased.
The man’s body was located in a body of water near Boom lane, in Atholville, at approximately 12:45 p.m. on December 12.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the man’s exact cause of death. Police do not believe criminality to be a factor in his death.

The Campbellton RCMP is asking for the public’s help locating a missing 53-year-old man from Campbellton, N.B.
Marco Soucie was last seen on December 8, 2022, at a residence on Village Avenue in Cambpellton. His vehicle was located on Boom Road in Atholville on December 11. Police have followed up on several leads to try and locate him, but have so far been unsuccessful. Police are concerned for his wellbeing.
Marco Soucie is described as being approximately five feet seven inches (170 centimetres) tall, and weighing approximately 150 pounds (68 kilograms). He has blue eyes and brown and grey hair. His right arm is amputated at the elbow.
