The Barrhead RCMP are looking for missing woman Cecile Bernice Potts, 59, who was last seen on Aug. 27.
Police have said “there is concern for her safety and well-being.”
“The investigation is still ongoing,” Cpl. Lou Leroux told the Mayerthorpe Freelancer.
“The investigation is being held from Barrhead.”
Leroux told the Freelancer he couldn’t confirm online reports that Potts was last seen in Onoway, saying she started off from Barrhead on Aug. 27.
Barrhead is approximately 57 kilometres north of Onoway, 65 km northeast of Mayerthorpe and 106 km northwest of Edmonton.
Potts was travelling in a red 2002 Ford F-150 with the licence plate BRN1945, according to the Alberta RCMP.
Potts is described as being 155 centimetres tall and approximately 59 kilograms with black hair and brown eyes.
