The Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 28-year old Mitchel Houle who was last seen on August 17, 2021. Houle was reported missing to the Nanaimo RCMP on August 24, 2021.

Investigators have learned that his mother dropped him off at the intersection of Northfield Road and the Nanaimo Parkway on August 17th, and she has not seen or heard from his since. She also indicated that it is out of character for her son to have no contact with her. As a result, she is worried for his safety and well-being.

Houle is of no fixed address and is known to frequent emergency shelters throughout Nanaimo. He does not carry a cell phone. Houle is an Indigenous man, 5 ft.11, thin build, with black hair and brown eyes. The picture provided is recent. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and nylon shorts. He has numerous tattoos on his legs and arms.
