Kingston Police have released the above photo and are asking for public assistance in locating a missing female youth.

According to Kingston Police, Lila Smith, 14, was reported missing on Monday, Aug. 26, 2019. She was last seen in person by her guardian approximately three weeks ago. Smith had been in regular contact with her family and friends via text messages and social media until approximately one week ago. While Smith continues to post on social media sites, she is no longer responding to family and friends, Kingston Police said in a press release on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019.

Smith’s family have recently observed content on her social media accounts which indicates she may be in Toronto, however, it is possible that she is still in the Kingston area. Smith may be in the company of fellow missing youth, Kayla Hartwick.

Smith is described as a Caucasian female standing 5’3” tall and weighing 160 lbs, with a medium build, brown eyes, and light brown hair. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Huffman at 613-549-4660 ext. 6322, or via email at shuffman@kingstonpolice.ca. Tips can also be made anonymously by calling the Kingston Police general number (613-549-4660 ext. 0) and asking to remain anonymous.
