The disappearance of a teenage girl from Petawawa continues to galvanize the community.
16 year old Trinity Poil hasn’t been seen since last Tuesday night, when it’s believed she left her home in the Cleve Avenue area of Garrison Petawawa’s north side sometime in the middle of the night.
Military Police have sent out a notice and have been doing foot patrols, looking for Trinity all around the area.
Her mother tells Star 96.7 she is extremely concerned about her daughter’s well being.
A Facebook group called “Missing: Trinity Poil” now has over 840 members and is aiming to create a central place to share information about Trinity’s disappearance, or any sightings that may be of interest.
Family spokesperson Tracy Serviss says it’s been a trying time.
“We absolutely can’t imagine what she was thinking, what happened – there’s nothing but questions and heartache”, Serviss told Star 96.7. on Monday morning.
“They need to hear from her, and need to hear that she’s okay”.
Serviss adds that there’s a message for Trinity as well, if she can hear the appeal.
“She needs to know that she needs to come home because her littlest brother has saved a timbit for her – and she needs to come home and eat it, because we don’t want it to go stale”, Serviss said.
Serviss says the support of the community has been outstanding, and the family appreciates it.
“They really appreciate the support, the community has been amazing. Thank you everybody. The family is really, really touched”, she said.
She’s encouraging people to join the Facebook page in order to stay up to date on developments.
“Any updates will be shared there immediately, and you can download posters to spread the word”, Serviss said.
