The Ottawa Police Service is advising that human remains were located on April 13th in the area of Cedar View Road and HWY 416 and identified as Alexxandr Stelmaschuk following forensic identification.

While the autopsy is ongoing, there is no foul play suspected at this time.

The family asks for privacy at this time.




The Ottawa Police Service is asking for the public’s help in finding missing a missing man, Alexxandr Stelmaschuk.

The 27-year-old was last seen on December 31, 2018 in the Bells Corners area and is also known to frequent Gatineau.

Police say his family is concerned for his safety.

Stelmaschuk is described as:

– Caucasian man
– 6′ 0″ (183 cm)
– Medium build
– Long brown hair
– Blue eyes
– Last seen wearing a winter jacket with fur trim, blue jeans and beige winter boots.
